KONE Reports 10.6% Q2 Order Growth as Modernization Gains Momentum

Finland-headquartered KONE Corporation reported continued order growth and margin expansion in the second quarter of 2026, supported by momentum in its Service and Modernization businesses.

Orders received during the April to June quarter increased 10.6% year on year to EUR 2.56 billion. Sales rose 3.1% to EUR 2.94 billion, while adjusted EBIT grew 6.6% to EUR 369.9 million. The adjusted EBIT margin improved to 12.6%, compared with 12.2% in the corresponding period last year.

“We delivered a strong second quarter, highlighted by order growth of more than 10%,” said Philippe Delorme, President and CEO of KONE.

First-half performance

For the first six months of 2026, KONE’s orders received increased 4.2% to EUR 4.89 billion. Sales grew 2.2% to EUR 5.65 billion, while adjusted EBIT rose 5.9% to EUR 663.5 million. The adjusted EBIT margin improved to 11.8%.

Modernization growth across regions

Delorme said KONE saw a re-acceleration in its Modernization business, with double-digit growth reported across all regions. New Building Solutions activity also grew significantly in Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Africa, including strong growth in India, Australia and the Middle East.

China continued to affect the company’s performance, with weak construction activity and intense price competition remaining key challenges in the market.

TK Elevator integration planning underway

KONE also said it has begun integration planning related to its proposed combination with TK Elevator. According to the company, shareholder approvals have been secured, while regulatory reviews are progressing in key jurisdictions.

2026 outlook maintained

KONE maintained its outlook for 2026. The company expects sales to grow between 3% and 6% at comparable exchange rates and forecasts an adjusted EBIT margin between 12.3% and 13.0%.
