Axxiom Elevator Acquires Carolina Elevator Service, Expands Into Southeastern US

Axxiom Elevator has strengthened its presence in the United States with the acquisition of Carolina Elevator Service, a commercial elevator services company headquartered in Columbia, South Carolina.

The transaction gives Axxiom an operational presence across South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia. It also marks the company’s 13th acquisition since its establishment, reflecting its continued expansion within the independent elevator services market.

Regional Expansion for Axxiom Elevator

Carolina Elevator provides commercial elevator maintenance, repair, modernization and installation services. The company supports a range of facilities throughout the southeastern United States and has developed its business around safety, reliability and responsive local service.

Through the acquisition, Axxiom enters three additional states while expanding the geographical reach of its service platform. Before the transaction, the company operated across Arizona, California, Florida, Texas and the Washington, D.C. region.

Axxiom Chief Executive Officer Jeremy Metzger said Carolina Elevator had earned the confidence of several prominent businesses in the Southeast. He highlighted the company’s commitment to its employees and customers as an important factor in the partnership.

Existing Leadership to Remain in Place

Carolina Elevator owners Wayne Brindle, Brent Goings, Cary Goings and Stephanie Hoopaugh will continue to lead the company following the acquisition. They will work alongside the existing mechanics and service teams responsible for supporting the company’s established customer base.

Brindle said the owners selected Axxiom after evaluating interest from multiple parties. According to him, the partnership provides Carolina Elevator with additional resources and operating systems while allowing it to retain the customer-focused values on which the company was built.

Growing Consolidation in Elevator Services

The acquisition reflects continued investment activity within the elevator maintenance and modernization sector. Established regional service providers are increasingly attracting interest from larger independent platforms seeking local expertise, technical teams and recurring maintenance portfolios.

For Axxiom, Carolina Elevator brings an established regional presence and experienced workforce. Carolina Elevator, meanwhile, gains access to a broader platform that could support its operational capabilities and future growth across the Southeast.

Maven Group, an mergers and acquisitions advisory firm focused on the vertical transportation industry, advised on the transaction. Axxiom completed the acquisition with financial backing from Gauge Capital.
