TK Elevator (TKE) has received the 2026 Made in Europe Award in the Innovation category for its EOX elevator platform, recognising the company’s combination of European engineering, eco-efficient manufacturing and digital technology.
The award was presented in Berlin on September 15, 2026, and was accepted on behalf of TK Elevator by Bora Gülan, CEO Europe Africa, and Matthias Gohl, Chief Digital Officer. The ceremony was held ahead of the BIG BANG KI Festival, an event focused on artificial intelligence, digitalisation and innovation.
The recognition centres on EOX, TK Elevator’s eco-efficient and natively digital elevator platform developed primarily for low- and mid-rise buildings. Unlike conventional elevator systems where digital capabilities may be added later, connectivity, lifecycle information and energy efficiency have been integrated into EOX from the beginning.
The platform combines elevator engineering with connected digital services, allowing equipment data to become part of a broader service and operational ecosystem. According to TK Elevator, this approach supports more transparent building operations while providing a foundation for additional functionality throughout the elevator’s lifecycle.
Data and AI become part of elevator operations
The award also recognises TK Elevator’s wider use of data and artificial intelligence.
Through its Digital Operations Centers across Europe, the company uses equipment data and AI-driven insights to support technicians, improve operational decision-making and develop increasingly intelligent services for customers.
This reflects a wider shift in the elevator industry, where connected equipment is increasingly being used not only for passenger transportation but also to generate information that can support maintenance, performance monitoring and building operations.
EOX has been developed within TK Elevator’s European engineering and manufacturing network. The platform is produced through facilities including Móstoles in Spain and Esslingen in Germany, while its digital architecture draws on the company’s software and digital expertise centres across Europe and other global locations.
The platform is designed to make advanced digital and energy-saving capabilities available to a broader range of buildings, particularly the low- and mid-rise segment.
Recognition for European industrial innovation
The Made in Europe Award for Excellence is presented by German media platform DUP UNTERNEHMER and recognises European companies across areas including innovation, technology, entrepreneurship and leadership. Award recipients are selected by an independent jury comprising representatives from business and media.
For TK Elevator, the award adds further recognition to its strategy of combining traditional vertical transportation engineering with connected products, digital platforms, data and AI.
The company has also continued expanding the EOX family. In June 2026, it introduced EOX Rebuild, a full replacement solution developed for ageing elevator installations in existing European buildings, extending the platform’s eco-efficient and digitally connected approach beyond new installations.
With EOX, TK Elevator is positioning the elevator increasingly as part of a connected building ecosystem, where equipment performance, digital services and data-driven maintenance operate together rather than as separate functions.
