Five office bearers elected unopposed; incoming team to assume charge on 20 September 2026
The Elevator & Escalator Component Manufacturers’ Association of India (EECMAI) has announced its new elected leadership team for the 2026–2029 term, following its Members’ General Meeting held on 9 September 2026 at The Den Hall, Hablis Hotel, Chennai.
All five office bearers were elected unopposed and will formally assume charge on 20 September 2026. The remaining nominated positions on the Management Committee will be announced shortly.
Incoming office bearers
The elected leadership team comprises:
- President: Ashok Vijay Subhedar, DSA Electro Controls Pvt. Ltd.
- Vice President: B. S. Kumaraswamy, Monteferro India Guiderails And Elevator Parts Pvt. Ltd.
- Treasurer: Harish Ashok Nakman, Harshal Control Systems Pvt. Ltd.
- Secretary: Vishal Anant Kulkarni, Portal Engineering Ltd.
- Joint Secretary: Aakarsh Khandhar, Delta Electronics (India)
The incoming team will serve a three-year term, overseeing the Association’s work in industry representation, member engagement and collaboration across the elevator and escalator component manufacturing sector.
Contributions of outgoing office bearers recognised
The meeting also marked the conclusion of the tenures of three office bearers who contributed to the Association’s establishment and development.
Abey George, Tecno Doors Private Limited, stepped down after serving as Founding Treasurer and Interim President. Hiren Panchal, Apson Motor (India) Pvt. Ltd., concluded his tenure as Founding Vice President, while Jainam Delivala, Rolliflex Cables Pvt. Ltd., stepped down as Secretary.
EECMAI formally acknowledged their leadership and contributions to building the Association and strengthening its role as a platform for industry representation and cooperation.
Continuing priorities
According to the Association, its continuing areas of focus include technical and regulatory engagement, standards and compliance, knowledge sharing, member participation and industry collaboration.
The leadership transition carries this work into the 2026–2029 term, with an emphasis on supporting domestic component manufacturing and the sector’s competitiveness.
Six years of industry engagement
Established on 10 September 2020 with 14 founding and co-founding members, EECMAI represents India’s elevator and escalator component manufacturing industry.
Its work has included engagement with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) standards, promotion of IS 17900 and international benchmarks, technical initiatives and knowledge-sharing programmes. The Association also works with industry stakeholders, government bodies and international organisations on matters relating to safety, quality, standardisation, innovation and indigenous manufacturing.
The new leadership team will take office shortly after EECMAI’s sixth anniversary, continuing the Association’s work on issues affecting India’s elevator and escalator component manufacturers.
