New facility is expected to improve regional support while addressing the specialised vertical mobility requirements of Goa’s coastal environment and growing built infrastructure.
Schindler India has opened a new and upgraded office in Goa, strengthening its presence in the region and expanding its ability to support customers, partners and projects across the state.
The facility was inaugurated by Tarunesh Mathur, CEO of Schindler India, marking another step in the company’s regional expansion strategy in India.
Goa’s position as one of India’s leading tourism destinations creates significant demand for dependable elevator and vertical mobility systems across hotels, resorts, residential developments, commercial properties and other high-footfall infrastructure.
At the same time, the state’s coastal conditions can create distinct operational and maintenance considerations for vertical transportation equipment. Factors associated with humid and saline environments can require specialised attention in areas such as equipment protection, maintenance planning and long-term system reliability.
Schindler India said the expanded local presence will allow the company to work more closely with regional partners while providing faster and more tailored support for projects operating under these conditions.
The upgraded office also provides the company’s Goa-based team with a modern workspace designed to support collaboration and future growth.
The development reflects the growing importance of regional service capabilities within India’s elevator and escalator sector. As construction activity expands beyond the country’s largest metropolitan markets, elevator manufacturers are increasingly strengthening their local networks to provide installation, maintenance, modernisation and technical support closer to customers.
For Schindler India, the Goa office is expected to support its broader objective of delivering smart and reliable vertical mobility solutions while strengthening its relationship with customers and partners in the region.
