SICOR Italy has strengthened its push towards integrated elevator technology, using the London edition of SICOR CONNECT 2026 to showcase a strategy that moves beyond supplying individual lift components towards systems designed to communicate and operate within a common ecosystem.
Held at The Brewery in London on 8 October, SICOR CONNECT brought together elevator professionals, manufacturers, installers, engineers and industry partners for technology presentations, demonstrations and discussions around increasingly connected lift systems. The event was organised in collaboration with PEW Electrical Distributors Ltd.
From Components to Integrated Systems
At the centre of SICOR’s positioning is a shift from standalone elevator equipment towards an architecture in which traction, control and door technologies are designed to work together.
According to SICOR, the objective is to make elevator systems easier to install, configure, commission and manage across their lifecycle. Rather than leaving the integration of equipment from different suppliers entirely to engineers on site, the company’s approach is focused on creating technologies that are designed to operate as part of the same ecosystem.
The technology showcased around the London event included the ALTO control panel, SD300 and SD500 door operators, and the Elevantis App.
ALTO Brings Control and Connectivity Together
ALTO represents an important part of SICOR’s integrated-system strategy.
The control panel has been designed to bring configuration, connectivity and diagnostics together within a single elevator ecosystem. SICOR says its pre-wired architecture, guided commissioning and digital support are intended to simplify installation and reduce the time required to commission an elevator system.
The system also reflects a broader change taking place across the elevator industry, where increasingly sophisticated software and connectivity are becoming part of the installation and maintenance process alongside conventional mechanical and electrical components.
Smartphone-Based Configuration and Diagnostics
The Elevantis App adds a digital layer to the ecosystem by allowing technicians to interact with connected elevator equipment through a smartphone.
According to SICOR, the application supports Bluetooth connectivity, parameter configuration, real-time monitoring and advanced diagnostics. It can be used with systems including the ALTO control panel and Doorlink technology.
The company says the digital approach is intended to simplify installation, accelerate commissioning and support maintenance throughout the operating life of the elevator system.
The combination of a connected control platform and smartphone-based configuration could also reduce the need for technicians to interact separately with multiple pieces of equipment during commissioning and troubleshooting.
SD300 and SD500 Join the Ecosystem
SICOR also highlighted its SD300 and SD500 door operators as part of the integrated technology package.
Rather than presenting the products only as individual door-control solutions, SICOR is positioning the door operators alongside ALTO and its wider digital architecture as components designed to work together.
The London event included dedicated presentations and live demonstrations of the technologies, providing lift professionals with an opportunity to see the integrated approach in operation.
A Broader Digital Shift in Elevator Technology
The strategy reflects a wider transformation taking place across the vertical transportation sector.
Elevator manufacturers and component suppliers are increasingly adding connectivity, remote diagnostics, software-assisted commissioning and real-time equipment data to traditional lift systems. For installers and maintenance companies, greater integration has the potential to simplify configuration and provide technicians with more information when diagnosing system issues.
For SICOR, SICOR CONNECT also represents a way of communicating that transition directly to the industry.
The company describes the initiative as a new international event series focused on integrated elevator systems and smart technologies, with its London edition placing connected control, door technology and digital tools at the centre of its future product strategy.
