The Council on Vertical Urbanism (CVU) India Chapter brought together professionals from the architecture, real estate, construction and elevator industries for its “Elevatoring Tall Buildings in India” event at Aloft, Aerocity, New Delhi.
The conference examined the future of high-rise development in India and the role of intelligent vertical transportation, collaborative planning, building standards and sustainable technologies in supporting the country’s rapidly evolving urban landscape.
Representatives from Schindler, Otis, Fujitec and TK Elevator shared insights into smart elevator technologies, digitalisation, predictive maintenance, energy efficiency and other advancements transforming modern tall buildings.

Industry Leaders Discuss Tall-Building Trends
A key highlight of the conference was the panel discussion titled “Elevatoring Tall Buildings in India: Trends,” moderated by Anil Hira.
The panel featured Kunal Behrani of Unity Group, Amit Gangal of Modarch, Rajnish Aggarwal of PDA, H. N. Pandey of Otis, Vishwas Tambe of Fujitec and Uday Roy of TK Elevator.
The discussion brought together perspectives from across the tall-building ecosystem. Architects addressed innovative building design, efficient space utilisation and the integration of vertical transportation within increasingly complex structures. Developers focused on project feasibility, construction timelines and cost management.
Elevator industry representatives emphasised the importance of involving vertical transportation specialists from the initial design stage. Traffic analysis, system capacity, safety requirements and emerging technologies were identified as critical considerations for improving passenger movement and operational efficiency.
The session reinforced the need for architects, developers, consultants and elevator manufacturers to work closely together from the earliest stages of a tall-building project.
TK Elevator Discusses AI-Driven Vertical Mobility
TK Elevator participated in the event and contributed to the discussion on the future of vertical transportation in India.
Hans, TK Elevator’s Global High-Rise Expert, shared the company’s international experience in delivering advanced mobility solutions for complex high-rise developments.
The presentation explored how artificial intelligence, predictive maintenance, smart traffic management and connected elevator technologies can enhance safety, maximise equipment availability, improve passenger flow and create a more seamless user experience.
TK Elevator also highlighted the increasing importance of elevators as critical infrastructure in modern high-rise buildings. As developments become taller and more complex, vertical transportation systems must be planned according to building traffic patterns, user expectations, safety standards and sustainability objectives.
Building Standards and Urban Safety
Another session examined the relevance of national building construction standards in India’s rapidly growing urban environment.
Industry experts discussed how compliance with building codes contributes to occupant safety, construction quality and long-term sustainability. With Indian cities continuing to expand vertically, the speakers underlined the importance of ensuring that regulations and construction practices keep pace with increasingly advanced building designs and technologies.
ISEE India 2026 Team Visits Yashobhoomi
Representing ISEE at the conference and the subsequent Yashobhoomi tour were Priyanka Choudhuri, Managing Director; T. A. K. Mathews, Director; Nilam Parshuram, Project Manager; Ramanjeet Kaur Masuta, Junior Sales Assistant; and Srishti Sharma, Junior Business Developer. They were joined by Gaurav Ghag, Director of Vertical Transportation Design at TAK Consulting.
The event also gave members of the ISEE India 2026 team an opportunity to interact with delegates and gain practical exposure to industry communication, professional networking and corporate event management.
Following the conference, the delegation and participating exhibitors visited Yashobhoomi in Dwarka, New Delhi, the venue for ISEE India 2026.
The guided tour provided attendees with a closer look at the convention centre’s expansive exhibition halls, modern infrastructure and facilities for hosting international business events. It also allowed exhibitors to understand the venue layout and visualise their participation in the upcoming exhibition.
ISEE India 2026 is scheduled to take place from 3 to 5 December 2026. The scale and infrastructure of Yashobhoomi reflect India’s growing capabilities as a destination for major international exhibitions, conferences and industry gatherings.
Connecting India’s Vertical Urbanism Ecosystem
The CVU India conference provided a valuable platform for professionals involved in designing, developing and operating tall buildings to exchange ideas and industry insights.
From AI-driven elevator technologies and predictive maintenance to early-stage traffic planning, building standards and sustainable development, the discussions demonstrated that the future of vertical urbanism in India will depend on continued innovation and closer collaboration across the industry.
The conference and Yashobhoomi tour also offered the ISEE India 2026 team valuable industry exposure ahead of the upcoming elevator and escalator exhibition.
